English Heritage is a charity that cares for over 400 historic buildings, monuments and places, and we’re proud to be partnering with Fullbrooks of England to help keep the story of England alive.
From palaces, houses, castles and abbeys to gardens, bridges, Roman forts and prehistoric stone circles, we’re committed to protecting the nation’s historic treasures, both for today’s visitors and future generations.
We’ve recently embarked on the largest conservation programme in our history. Whether we’re making small-scale repairs or undertaking major projects, we are committed to carrying out our specialist work to the very highest standards. And wherever possible, we invite our visitors behind the scenes to watch conservation in action.
It’s only by carrying out this vital work that we can continue to help people to experience history in the places where it really happened.
Many of our historic places wouldn’t be the same without their precious plasterwork. The stunning ceiling of the library at London’s Kenwood contains intricate plasterwork designed by Robert Adam and crafted by Joseph Rose. On a more modest scale, the Old Merchant’s House in Great Yarmouth features richly decorated plasterwork ceilings from the early 17th century. We also care for plasterwork at Osborne, Queen Victoria’s beloved family home on the Isle of Wight. The Durbar Room, designed to reflect Victoria’s status as Empress of India, features magnificent plasterwork by Bhai Ram Singh.
We’re partnering with Fullbrooks of England because, like us, they place great value on the role that heritage can play in our lives. That’s why they are generously donating a portion of their profits from the Heritage Range to English Heritage.
Your purchase will help us continue our work, whether that’s providing free school visits for hundreds of thousands of children, carrying out urgent repairs or creating innovative interpretation schemes. Thank you for your support and for helping to keep the story of England alive.
