About Us

Fullbrooks of England manufacture a wide range of Fibrous Plaster Mouldings designed to enhance any interior and add that touch of opulence so often lacking in modern buildings.

For 25 years, the master craftsmen of Fullbrooks of England have been creating the highest quality plaster mouldings in their traditional workshop set in the Cathedral City of Gloucester, close to the picturesque Cotswolds.   Historic techniques have been passed down father to son, master to apprentice to establish an excellent reputation.

Our mouldings grace private houses to stately homes.  They have been designed to create dramatic grandeur or to inject understated elegance and styled to suit period or contemporary spaces.

We’ve got what you are looking for:

  • Exact reproductions.  No matter where you take inspiration from we can help.  We can create mouldings from photographs, drawings, CAD drawings and archive data.

  • Looking for something from a specific era?  Our stock collection of decorative mouldings, from Victorian ceiling roses to Regency mouldings of all types will make it easy for you to find what you are looking for.  Use the menu to browse our categorised products.

  • Restoration.  We are skilled in conservation restoration and can expertly restore damaged period features using traditional methods and materials employed for generations.

  • Bespoke.  Turning your ideas into reality.

  • If you can draw it, we can make it.  Or, if you simply explain what it is you want, we can bring your ideas to life.

  • Private commissions.  Working from architectural drawings or personal sketches we are also happy to accept private commissions for one off pieces.

How we go from conception to implementation:

  • The materials we work with are incredibly versatile, so any design is a possibility.  Think of us as artists and sculptors.  If the look you want isn’t in our stock collection we can create beautiful mouldings from our own sketches, your drawings, photos – just about anywhere.

  • We will work closely with you to ensure we understand exactly what you want.

  • Once the design is agreed we produce the moulds to your exact specification.

  • Finally, the same team who have been involved with the design and production will expertly place the mouldings in situ.

Whilst fibrous plaster is not suitable for exterior use, we also manufacture mouldings in glass reinforced polyester (resin), glass reinforced cement, cast stone and jesmonite.

Our products are made by skilled craftsmen using traditional materials and tried and tested methods. Our products are reinforced to make them more durable and easier to fix. Very little has changed in the methods employed by our craftsmen since the times of Robert Adam (1728 – 1792), with the exception of some improvements in mould making compounds.

Should you require advice, we can visit the site and provide an estimate or assess from architectural drawings. For further information, please do not hesitate to contact us.

“The order of a classical building is like the mode or key of classical music. It is established by certain modules like the intervals of music, and it raises certain expectations in an audience attuned to its language, the orders are like the grammar or rhetoric of a written composition.”
